April 15, 2010 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #18 Item Title C-17 Proclaim May as Internet Safety Month Issue/Rationale The Children's Internet Protection Act and the Protecting Children in the 21st Century Act require that we provide Internet safety education that includes appropriate online behavior, social networking/chat rooms, and cyber bullying awareness and response.  During Internet Safety Month in May, each school will focus students' attention to potential online dangers and stress online safety especially during summer vacation.
