April 16, 2009 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #48 Item Title Ratify the 2007-2010 Master Contract Amendments for Articles VI and XIV between the Clay Educational Staff Professional Association, Local 7409, and the School District of Clay County Issue/Rationale Florida Statute requires the School Board to bargain collectively in the determination of the wages, hours, terms and conditions of employment for educational support professionals.  This Agreement must be signed and ratified by the public employer and the public employees of the bargaining unit. Recommended Action Ratify the 2007-2010 Master Contract Amendments for Article VI and XIV between the Clay Educational Staff Professional Association, Local 7409, and the School District of Clay County negotiated by both bargaining teams and ratified by the public employees of the bargaining unit. Financial Impact Approximately $100,000 is the estimated savngs for the district through approval of Article XIV.  At the present time, the contract language in Article VI does not have an associated financial impact in terms of either savings or cost.
