Item Title
C-16 Pay mileage at .55 cents/mile to have parents or group homes transport certain ESE students for student school year 2009-2010.

Issue/Rationale

In certain cases the ESE Department with the Transportation Department needs to authorize mileage for parents or group homes to transport students.

Cases include instances where a bus is not available or medical issues can not be resolved (no nurse to ride the bus), or other special issues (behavioral irregularities) and we are required to provide transportation.

Recommended Action
The Superintendent recommends we pay mileage.

Financial Impact
The total cost of transportation is expected to be less than $3,000.00.
