Renewal of 2013-2014 List of Physicians authorized to conduct physical examinations required for certain groups of employees
Issue/Rationale
School Board Policy and Florida Statutes require physical examinations for certain employees and job candidates. Physicians used in administering physical examinations of employees and the fees charged for those services must be approved by the School Board. Eighteen (18) requests to submit a bid to conduct district physical exams were sent to local physicians in Clay County, Jacksonville and Starke. The charges shown on the attachment are the physicians and quotes received. They are considered reasonable and are recommended for approval.
Recommended Action
Approve the Physicians and costs as presented.
Financial Impact
Approximately $35,000.00 has been budgeted for physical examinations for certain employees and job candidates. The quotes received and recommended are considered reasonable.
