C-31 Professional Civil Engineering Services County-Wide Contract Award
Issue/Rationale
The selection was conducted in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055. The project was advertised for three consecutive weeks with The Clay Today. Selection Committee members were Jim Connell – Director of Facility Planning and Construction, John Merrill – Director of Maintenance, and Frank Farrell – School Board Member.
As a result of interviews and after due consideration, the Selection Committee recommends the following firms as listed in priority order:
1. Allyn C. Tidball, P.E. –
2. Tocoi Engineering, LLC – Orange Park, FL
3. Bowen Civil Engineering, Inc. – Jacksonville, FL
Recommended Action
Appoint the top ranked firm, Allyn C. Tidball, P.E. at a fee of 6% of the construction cost for Civil Engineering Services County-Wide.
Financial Impact
All funding necessary for the Civil Engineering fees resulting from this contract are budgeted within the Educational Facilities Plan. The exact amount of fees cannot be determined at this time.
