C-36 Additive Change Order #1 for Orange Park Elementary Building 7 Restroom Renovation

Issue/Rationale

Change Orders are initiated by the Contractor, Architect/Engineer or Owner, and may increase or decrease the scope of the project as defined by the plans and specifications.  Change Orders are reviewed by the Architect/Engineer and staff prior to submission to the School Board.  This change order is required because existing water and sewer were not in the locations expected or shown on existing drawings.  Cost reflects concrete cutting and replacement to run the water and sewer in new directions and pipe to the tie-in.  Cost included new water valve to replace malfunctioning existing valve.  Also, to replace the existing water cooler to meet ADA requirements. Contractor:  Gary S. Bailey, Inc.; Architect:  McCullar & Boatright Architects, P.A.

 



Recommended Action

Approve the change order.



Financial Impact

If approved, this Change Order will increase the contract amount by $8,949.00.  The substantial completion date is August 12.  Architect fees will increase by $536.94 as a result of this Change Order.
