C-29 Additive Change Order 2 for Orange Park High School Building 12 Air Handler, Light Fixtures and Ceiling Replacement

Issue/Rationale

Change Orders are initiated by the Contractor, Architect/Engineer or Owner, and may increase or decrease the scope of the project as defined by the plans and specifications.  Change Orders are reviewed by the Architect/Engineer and staff prior to submission to the School Board.  Change Orders affect the scope of the project and are required to be School Board approved.  This change order will correct pre-existing code deficiencies as requested by the Code Enforcement Department and complete replacement of ceilings and lights in Building 12.  Contractor:  Weather Engineers, Inc.; Engineer:  KPI Engineering, Inc.

    

 



Recommended Action

Approve the change order.



Financial Impact

If approved, this Change Order will increase the contract amount by $42,728.42.  The substantial completion date is August 14, 2009.  Engineer fees will increase by $2,563.71 as a result of this Change Order.
