Agenda Item #50 Item Title C-49 Change Order #1 for Thunderbolt Elementary School Parking/Drive Improvements Issue/Rationale Change Orders are initiated by the Contractor, Architect/Engineer or Owner, and may increase or decrease the scope of the project as defined by the plans and specifications. Once a Change Order is initiated, review/evaluation is undertaken to determine the merit and/or requirement of the Change Order. Change Orders are reviewed by the Architect/Engineer and staff prior to submission to the School Board for approval. The additive changes are required for additional stripping, drainage, and conduit identified after the design and are required to complete the project. Recommended Action Approve the Change Order. Financial Impact If approved, this Change Order will increase the contract amount by $1,381.38. The Substantial Completion date is August 8, 2008.
