Item Title
C-10 2008-2009 Admissions and Placement Manual included as School Board Policy.
Issue/Rationale
Annually the ESE Department develops the Admissions and Placement Manual to provide specifics on how to implement the district's ESE procedures and what documentation is required.
To provide guidelines for documentation that meet audit and legal standards and yet place the least possible burden on staff has resulted in these very specific guidelines. Since procedures and recommendations for ESE change annually, it is necessary to have a manual that is reviewed and updated annually.
Recommended Action
The Superintendent recommends approval of the Manual as submitted.
Financial Impact
Posting procedures as the implementation for the district procedures requires the School District of Clay County's School Board to approve them. Copies are printed for every School, Assistant Principal, Guidance Counselors, ESE Secretaries, ESE Teachers and Personnel, Social Workers and Psychologist.
