Item Title
C-54 Additive Change Order #1 for Thunderbolt Elementary School Fire Alarm Replacement

Issue/Rationale
Change Orders are initiated by the Contractor, Architect/Engineer or Owner, and may increase or decrease the scope of the project as defined by the plans and specifications. Change Orders are reviewed by the Architect/Engineer and staff prior to submission to the School Board for approval. This additive change is to add eight test switches for the duct detectors which is a code requirement (see attached).

Recommended Action
Approve the Change Order.

Financial Impact
If approved, this Change Order will increase the contract amount by $1,093.82. The Substantial Completion date is August 17, 2014. Final Completion date is September 16, 2014. Architect fees will increase by $65.63 as a result of this change order.
