August 3, 2009 Special Meeting - Budget Agenda Item #6 Item Title Adopt the 2009-10 discretionary operating mill levy Issue/Rationale In addition to  RLE, districts may choose to levy an additional non-voted property tax.  The Legislature establishes the maximum millage that each district may levy.  Currently, the maximum allowed is 0.748 mills.  Recommended Action Motion to adopt discretionary mill levy of 0.748 mills which is 41.05 percent more than the rolled-back rate.
