December 16, 2014 - Regular Meeting Agenda Item #16 Item Title C-18 Request approval for purchase order to contract "The DBQ (Document Based Questions) Project" for training - 1 day. Issue/Rationale Training of third through sixth grade teachers on how to implement the DBQ Project (Document Based Questions) to support all areas of the English/Language Arts (ELA) Common Core Standards. Recommended Action Approve request for purchase order as submitted. Financial Impact No impact on general funds; this is a day of professional development for Title I teachers scheduled for 1/6/15 (in-service day) and no substitute teachers will be required.  Total cost of $1200.00 will be paid out of Title I, Part A Grant -Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged 2014-2015 Federal Grant.
