Florida Statute 1012.27 requires the School board to adopt a salary schedule to be used as a basis for paying school system employees, and to approve any changes and revisions made to the schedule throughout the school year.

The attached amendments reflect the minimum wage increase for the State of Florida, effective January 1, 2009.  All applicable rates were increased to $7.21 per hour as required by law.

Florida Statute language allows for bonuses to teachers of students in AP, IB and AICE programs.  Language was amended to more clearly define bonuses in each of these categories in accordance with law.

Maximum increase resulting from the Florida minimum wage increase, will be $.42 per hour for those positions in this category.  Minimum wage is increasing from $6.79 per hour to $7.21 per hour.  

There is no increase in the amount of teacher bonus paid for each AP, IB and AICE program.
