C-8 Charter School Application Exception
Issue/Rationale
The Image Schools has requested that the Clay County School Board make an exception to the current plan of accepting applications annually during a window period between August 15 and September 1. They are requesting that their revised application submitted after the deadline be reviewed for acceptance.
Recommended Action
Recommend that Imagine Schools complete the revised application form and apply during the 2007-2008 cycle. To review at this point would set a precedent for future applicants. It is also untimely in the workload cycle and the opening of two new schools.
