Item Title
Appointment, Redesignation and Approval of Out-of-Field Teachers
Issue/Rationale
Florida Statutes require that a teacher who is teaching out-of-field be appointed as out-of-field by the School Board. It is also required by auditors that the out-of-field teachers be approved prior to completion of the FTE survey week. The survey week is February 11-15, 2013.
The list of teachers for out-of-field appointment will be posted to the eAgenda by Attachment and brought revised if needed to the meeting to ensure compliance.
Recommended Action
Approve the out-of-field appointments and redesignations as submitted.
Financial Impact
Board action allows for earning FTE appropriately and avoiding audit criticism and reduction in FTE.
