Educational Specifications are developed for all new construction projects. The School Board is asked to review and approve the Educational Specifications which, after approval, are forwarded to the Architect for inclusion into design. The Educational Specifications have been developed with assistance from staff of the Instructional Division, Support Services Division, Business Affairs Division, and Department of Information Services. The purpose of Educational Specifications is to obtain the needs associated with each program area. The Educational Specifications define the scope of the project in program, square footage, furniture and equipment, and the intended use of the funding allocated by the School Board. This Educational Specification will provide the basic design standards for future elementary schools.
