C-24 Orange Park High School Install VAV/Duct Heaters in New Roof Top Units on Building 1 Contract Award

Issue/Rationale

This project is listed in the 2011-2012 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.

The bid opening was held Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. The project had three (3) bidders who met all the bid requirements.

Recommended Action

Award the construction contract to W. W. Gay Mechanical Contractor, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $267,757.

Financial Impact

The funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
