Agenda Item #24 Item Title C-24 Establish Petty Cash Fund for the Career and Technical Education Dept. Issue/Rationale State Board of Education Rule 6A-1.057 authorizes the use of petty cash funds for small operating expenditures. The Rule requires that each fund must be authorized by the School Board as to the amount and specific person responsible for the fund. Petty cash funds are used by the schools and district departments for impromptu and incidental purchases under $50 where it is not feasible for a purchase order to be issued. Recommended Action Approval of the petty cash fund for the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department in the amount of $200, with the Director of CTE assuming responsibility for the petty cash fund. Financial Impact There is no direct financial effect on budgets by the approval of the petty cash fund. Submitted By Dr. George F.
