Item Title
Lake Asbury Elementary School HVAC Replacement Buildings 1, 2 & 3 Contract Award
Issue/Rationale
This project is listed in the 2012-2013 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.
The bid opening was held January 31, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. The project had four (4) bidders and all met the bid requirements.
Recommended Action
Award the construction contract to W. W. Gay Mechanical Contractor, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $177,078.00 and additive alternate s #1 through #3 in the amount of $79,997.00 for a total bid amount of $257,075.00.
Financial Impact
The funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
