Bannerman Learning Center Roof Replacement Buildings 1 & 2 Contract Award

Issue/Rationale

This project is listed in the 2012/2013 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.

The bid opening was held Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. The project had five (5) bidders and all bidders met the bid requirements.

Recommended Action

Award the construction contract to Childers Roofing, the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $91,450.00.

Financial Impact

The low bidder meeting specifications, Childers Roofing, has a total bid award of $91,450.00. These funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
