C-29 Orange Park High School Smoke Corridor Building 1, Phase II Contract Award
Issue/Rationale
This project is listed in the 2015/2016 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.
The bid opening was held February 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. The project had three (3) bidders and all bidders met the bid requirements.
Recommended Action
Award the construction contract to E. Vaughan Rivers, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $150,000.00 and Alternate #3 in the amount of $98,000.00 for a total bid award of $248,000.00.
Financial Impact
These funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
