This school has its own water and sewer plant because when originally constructed, central water and sewer was not available in this area of the county. We have been in negotiation with the Clay County Utility Authority to transition this school to central services since this is now available in this area.

This will allow the School District to reduce the number of water plants and sewer plants maintained by the School system thus reducing the liability associated with these plants. Also, it allows the School District more space in which to build permanent classrooms at Tynes Elementary.
