January 17, 2008 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #34 Item Title Public Hearing to Approve, as Advertised, the New Schools and Revised Attendance Boundaries to become effective fiscal year 2008-09 Issue/Rationale A Public Hearing is required in order to allow for public input.  Developing new attendance boundaries for OakLeaf Village Elementary (K-5) and Shadowlawn Elementary (K-6); attendance boundary revisions to OakLeaf School (K-6), Argyle Elementary (K-6), Lake Asbury Elementary (K-6), Middleburg Elementary (K-6), Charles E. Bennett Elementary (K-6), RideOut Elementary (K-6) and Thunderbolt Elementary (K-6) Schools and establishing grade organization is School Board responsibility.  The development, consideration, advertisement and Public Hearing are in accordance to Statute, Rule and Regulation. Recommended Action After the Public Hearing, the action taken is totally at the discretion of the School Board as to approve the recommendation; to modify the recommendation or to extend to a time certain for additional discussion and consideration.
