Green Cove Springs Junior High School Roof Replacement Buildings 1 & 3 Contract Award

Issue/Rationale

This project is listed in the 2012-2013 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.

The bid opening was held December 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. The project had eight (8) bidders and all met the bid requirements.

Recommended Action

Award the construction contract to Barber & Associates, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $161,500.00.

Financial Impact

The funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
