C-8 Salary Schedule - 2011-2012

Issue/Rationale

Florida Statutes 1012.22 and 1012.27 require the district school board and superintendent to adopt a salary schedule to be used as a basis for paying school district employees. 

 

Agreements with both CCEA and CESPA have been ratified by all parties.  The attached document represents those agreements, along with the Administrative/Management/Supervisory/Confidential Section, Miscellaneous, and Travel to complete the Salary Schedule for 2011-2012.



Recommended Action

Approve the 2011-2012 Salary Schedule as presented.



Financial Impact

Section I:  Administrative salaries remain status quo.

 

Section II, Certificated (CCEA):  Salaries remain status quo - no step increase or reduction in salaries for 2011-2012.  Attendance incentive cost to be offset by current 2011-2012 budgeted substitute funds. 

 

Section III, Support (CESPA): Salaries remain status quo - no step increase or reduction in salaries for 2011-2012.  Attendance incentive cost, if any, to be offset by current 2011-2012 budgeted substitute funds.  Rate of reimbursement for staff meetings and inservice increased from $8.40 to $9.00 per hour effective upon date of ratification and is not retroactive.  Therefore, financial impact is minimal. 

 

Section IV, Miscellaneous Salaries:  Minimum wage increase from $7.31 to $7.67 effective January 1, 2012.  Staff Development rates increased to coincide with ratified contracts. 

 

Section V, Travel – no changes.
