Issue/Rationale

This project is listed in the 2010-2011 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.

The bid opening was held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. The project had two (2) bidders and all bidders met the bid requirements.

Recommended Action
Award the construction contract to W. W. Gay Mechanical Contractors, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $237,277.00.

Financial Impact

The low bidder meeting specifications, W. W. Gay Mechanical Contractors, Inc., had a total bid award of $237,277.00. The funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
