C-20 Middleburg High School Lighting & Ceiling Replacement Architectural Services Contract Award
Issue/Rationale
The selection was conducted in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055. The project was advertised for three consecutive weeks with The Clay Today. Selection Committee members were Jim Connell – Director of Facility Planning and Construction, John Merrill, Director of Maintenance, and Charles E. Van Zant, Jr. – School Board Member.
As a result of interviews and after due consideration, the Selection Committee recommends the following firms as listed in priority order:
1. Bhide & Hall Architects, P.A. – Orange Park, FL
2. McCullar & Boatright Architects – Orange Park, FL
3. Rolland, DelValle & Bradley – Jacksonville, FL
Recommended Action
Appoint the top ranked firm, Bhide & Hall Architects, P.A., at a fee of 6% of the construction cost for Middleburg High School Lighting & Ceiling Replacement Architectural Services.
Financial Impact
All funding necessary for Architectural Services fees resulting from this contract are budgeted within the Educational Facilities Plan. The exact amount of fees cannot be determined at this time.
