Item Title
Change Order #12 for Argyle Elementary School
Issue/Rationale
Change Orders are initiated by the Contractor, Architect/Engineer or Owner, and may increase or decrease the scope of the project as defined by the plans and specifications. Once a Change Order is initiated, review/evaluation is undertaken to determine the merit and/or requirement of the Change Order. Change Orders are reviewed by the Architect/Engineer and staff prior to submission to the School Board.
Change Orders affect the scope of the project and are required to be School Board approved by State Requirements for Educational Facilities and Florida Statutes. This change is required to reduce the contract amount to reflect the amount of liquidated damages.
Recommended Action
Approve the Change Order.
Financial Impact
If approved, this Change Order will decrease the contract amount by $24,000.00. The Substantial Completion date is July 20, 2005. Architect fees will not increase as a result of this Change Order.
