C-49 (Connell) Additive Change Order #2 for Wilkinson Elementary School Buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 20 & 21 Re-Roof

Issue/Rationale

Change Orders are initiated by the Contractor, Architect/Engineer or Owner, and may increase or decrease the scope of the project as defined by the plans and specifications. Change Orders are reviewed by the Architect/Engineer and staff prior to submission to the School Board. This change order will add a nailer at the eave to correct an existing unsatisfactory condition. Contractor: Childers Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc.; Architect: McCullar & Boatright Architects, P.A.

Recommended Action

Approve the change order.

Financial Impact

If approved, this Change Order will increase the contract amount by $11,444.13. The substantial completion date is July 29, 2010. Architect fees will increase by $686.65 as a result of this Change Order.
