Item Title
Adopt the 2008-09 supplemental discretionary mill levy

Issue/Rationale

If the district chooses to levy the Discretionary Local Effort Millage, it is also eligible to levy an additional non-voted property tax of up to 0.25 mills in order to produce a maximum of $100 per FTE. (The .25 Mill Discretionary Equalization shown previously is awarded to districts who do not generate at least $100 per student with the levy for 2008-09.)

Recommended Action
Motion to adopt the 2008-09 supplemental discretionary mill levy of 0.250 which is (0.004) percent less than the rolled-back rate.

Financial Impact
The levy will generate $2,625,832 to Fund 100.
