Item Title
Adopt the 2013-14 Tentative Budget (all Funds) and set the Public Hearing for the 2013-14 Final Budget Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.

TRIM requires two public hearings for open discussion of millage rates and budgets of taxing authorities.  The first substantive issue discussed by the governing body of taxing authority is the percentage increase or decrease in millage over the rolled-back rate necessary to fund the budget, if any, and the specific purposes for which ad valorem tax revenues, are being increased or decreased.  The general public is allowed to speak and ask questions prior to adoption of any measures by the governing body.  The millage rate is adopted first and budget is adopted second.

Recommended Action
Motion to adopt the Tentative 2013-14 Budget of $299,884,276 and to set the public hearing for 2013-14 Final Budget for Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Teacher Training Center at Fleming Island High School.
