School District of Clay County/ESE Department is applying for Federal Entitlement Grant, IDEA Part B; and IDEA Part B Preschool Entitlement Grant funds; and ARRA, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds for 2009-2010.  Funds for personnel are also being identified to roll forward for 2010-2011.

1.)   Employ ESE Secretaries, ESE Assistants, ESE PreK Assistants, ESE Specialist, ESE Teacher Assistants, Nurses, MH Counselors, Student Hearing Officers and Supplement Intervention Team Facilitators.

2.)   Supply classroom materials/equipment and adaptive/technological/assistive equipment/services for individual students and new classrooms.

3.)   Fund inservice activities for ESE and mainstream personnel.

4.)   Fund psycho-educational and speech/language evaluations and independent evaluations.

5.)   Fund procedures and program consultation, training and IEP consultation.

6.)   Fund additional instructional positions not provided by FTE.

7.)   Fund required services for parentally placed private school students.

8.)   Fund parts of the Summer School program.

These grant funds will enhance and broaden the ESE programs efficiency and scope of service in providing free and appropriate public education to students with a disability.
