June 18, 2009 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #37 Item Title C-36 Compass Learning Contract Issue/Rationale To offer credit recovery and remediation to Clay County students on a broader scale.  In addition, to offer a uniform program throughout the county and to have the capability of offering unlimited seating for students.  Currently, Clay County has a variety of programs providing similar services.  This program will be more cost effective and consistent in the county. Recommended Action Approve purchase of software for Compass Learning. Financial Impact Clay County currently pays $176,000.00 for similar programs (Plato, Compass, New Century, etc.).  Compass will cost $142,560.00 each year for five years and there is no finance charge to this contract.
