Issue Rationale of Contract

a. Follett Destiny Resource Management Agreement submitted by the Instructional Services Department is for the purchase, implementation and support of Destiny Asset Manager Software.  Destiny Asset Manager provides a centralized database and several applications for inventory management.  The District Media Center (DMC) will be the Pilot Site for tracking District Mobile Devices that include iPads, Kindles, etc.  It was imperative the Agreement and Purchase Order be set in place so that DMC could process iPads/Kindles through Destiny Asset Manager in time for Property Control to delete the Asset from TERMS by the end of Fiscal Year, June 30, 2014.
