C-27 MACs contract with School Board of Seminole County, 2006-2007 (Revised)
Issue/Rationale
The consortium is the group we are affiliated with for Medicaid Administrative Claiming. Seminole County is the group agent for collecting random moment samples, data and distributing the results to participating counties.
MACS contract with Siminole County will enable us to continue billing for Medicaid Administrative Claiming with minimum sampling of staff and minimum staff time spent in data analysis of sampling. Medicaid monies for schools are at risk nationally, but we only pay for what we use under this contract.
Recommended Action
The Superintendent recommends approval.
Financial Impact
This will enable us to continue to bill for Medicaid Administrative monies which are primarily generated by staff in Exceptional Student Education and Student Services.
