School District of Clay County are required to provide audiological services to eligible ESE students.  Previously this was provided through a contract accessing these services in Duval County Schools.  Due to increasing numbers, Duval County Schools will no longer serve us.  We have built an audiological testing area at WEC.  This contract will provide a contracted audiologist. 

The contracted services will include:  Child Find hearing screenings, annual three year audiological evaluations, Earmold impressions/fittings for hearing aids and FM systems, recommendation of type of FM system for an individual student, providing audiological settings for various types of FM systems for most current students, programming various types of FM systems, on site checking of hearing aids, FM systems and Earmolds.

These are required services.  Calibration and adjustment of our phonic ear systems must be developed in our school system since it is not available privately.  This will allow us to provide the services listed above as our issue in replacing Duval County Schools audiological services.  Using a contract at the going rate of $50.00 an hour for at least one day per week will be the most economical way to get services.
