June 21, 2007 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #69 Item Title Consider New School Naming and Potential Names for Elementary School "W" (Oakleaf East Area) and Elementary School "X" (Lake Asbury Area) Issue/Rationale Establishing school names for Elementary School "W" (Oakleaf East Area) and Elementary School "X" (Lake Asbury Area) is required.  After discussion at the last School Board meeting, the School Board requested citizen input.  After advertisement in the newspaper and having sent home with school children, such request for input has been received.  Attached are the original optional names and the names submitted from citizens for each school.  The names submitted by citizens are updated to the time of this backup from the list submitted to the Board on May 30, 2007.  Recommended Action Process the naming of both new schools as determined by the Board.
