June 21, 2012 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #4 Item Title C-4 Settlement of Personal Injury Claim of Cristal Livingston Issue/Rationale On October 6, 2009, Cristal Livingston was a passenger on a school bus that was involved in an accident caused by the actions of a bus driver who was employed by the School Board of Clay County.  Plaintiff was injured and sustained significant losses for medical treatment as a result of those injuries.  Unpaid medical bills exceed $20,000.00.  Settlement, subject to the approval of the full Board was reached at mediation attended by Board Chair Carol Studdard, Dr. George Copeland and Bruce Bickner.  Total settlement for all claims is $16,000.00.
