Issue/Rationale

This project is listed in the 2012/2013 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.

The bid opening was held Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. The project had four (4) bidders and all bidders met the bid requirements.

Recommended Action

Award the construction contract to W.W. Gay, the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $79,879.00.

Financial Impact

The low bidder meeting specifications, W.W. Gay, has a total bid award of $79,879.00. These funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
