Issue/Rationale
This project is listed in the 2009-2010 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.
The bid opening was held Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 10:10 a.m. The project had six (6) bidders and all bidders met the bid requirements.
Recommended Action
Award the construction contract to W. W. Gay Mechanical Contractor, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $56,571.00.
Financial Impact
The low bidder meeting specifications, W. W. Gay Mechanical Contractor, Inc., had a total bid award of $56,571.00. The funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
