Item Title
C-18 Out of State/Overnight Travel for 4 teachers to University of South Carolina

Issue/Rationale
Four teachers will attend the University of South Carolina June 20-July 2, 2010, to Project Lead The Way (PLTW) training.  Teachers must be certified in PLTW curriculum in order to teach it.  There are no PLTW training sites in the state of Florida.  This is a pre-engineering curriculum that the Board previously approved with the knowledge that it would require out of state travel/staff development for teachers who are teaching PLTW.

Recommended Action

Approve Out-of-State Travel as submitted.



Financial Impact
$11,000 to be paid from ARRA stimulus funds
