Issue/Rationale
This project is listed in the 2008/2009 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.
The bid opening was held Thursday, March 3, 2009 at 2:45 p.m. The project had eleven (11) bidders and all bidders met the bid requirements.
Recommended Action
The Rose Group, the low bidder meeting specifications has withdrawn their bid; therefore, Perry Roofing Contractors, the lowest, most responsive bidder meeting specifications is awarded the base bid in the amount of $47,657.00
Financial Impact
The low bidder meeting specifications, Perry Roofing Contractors, has a total bid award of $47,657.00. These funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
