Drees Homes of Florida, Inc. has a parcel of land under contract to purchase that is designated as a future school site (School Site D) in the Branan Field Master Plan.  Drees homes would like the School Board to release the parcel from the Future School designation and allow them to utilize the parcel for residential development. 

Tynes Elementary School (TES) is 1.2 miles southeast of D and is at 84% capacity.  Two elementary schools 3 – 3.5 miles to the North in the OakLeaf area are OakLeaf Village Elementary and Plantation Oaks Elementary, both of which are at 91% capacity.  An elementary charter school approximately 1 mile southwest of D is scheduled to open this year, but its impact upon enrollment in these schools is unknown at this time.  The School Board also owns a 62 acre site 1.8 miles north of D designated Elementary School Y.
