March 24, 2015 - Regular Meeting Agenda Item #51 Item Title D-7 Public Hearing to receive public comment and to approve as advertised the adoption of 9-12 World Languages (Spanish 1, 2, 3 Honors and 4 Honors) instructional materials Issue/Rationale Florida State Statute F.S. 1006.283 requires that the School Board must hold a public meeting as advertised on February 19, 2015 to receive public comment and approve instructional materials considered for adoption. Students must be provided with a major tool of instruction in core courses. Such purchase must be made within the first three years after the effective date of the adoption cycle. New textbooks are correlated to new Florida State Standards.
