In November, 2006, the Clay County voters approved an amendment to the County Charter requiring the Board of County Commissioners to enact (by ordinance) a Code of Ethics which shall prescribe standards of conduct for members of the Board, the County Manager, the County Attorney, the County Auditor, all other elected or appointed County Officers including the Superintendent of Schools and members of the School Board, and the deputies and employees of all such officers.  This ordinance must be adopted before July 1, 2007.

The initial meeting to discuss this Code of Ethics has been set for Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Board of County Commissioners Meeting Room on the 4th floor of the Clay County Administration Building.
