Issue/Rationale
Through a Worksource grant, 50 Career Academy students will be paid to participate in a 4-week Summer Internship. Eligible students must be enrolled in an academy for the 2006-07 school year, must be promoted from grade 11 to grade 12, and be recommended by the Academy Leadership Team.

Financial Impact
The $20,000 Workforce grant will fund a stipend for 50 participating students.
