Item Title
C-18 Addendum to the Contractual Agreement between the School District of Clay County and Challenge Enterprises/Lighthouse Learning Center for remainder of school year 2007-2008
Issue/Rationale
To provide additional funding for Lighthouse Learning Center. This will cover shortages such as our excess costs in therapies and nursing/medical services. The guideline for Clay class size in the Admissions and Placement Manual will now apply to Lighthouse Learning Center.
This analysis will allow us to continue PreK profound Autism Spectrum Disorder and severe services at Lighthouse Learning Center and thus help prevent crowding in current district classrooms and cover the increased cost of therapies.
Recommended Action
The Superintendent recommends approval.
Financial Impact
The increase cost for current services will be $54,000.00 beyond the current amount. This total contract amount is covered by the current FTE earned.
