Chapter 1013.46 Florida Statutes requires that Boards pre-qualify bidders for construction contracts according to rules prescribed by the Commissioner of Education.

The Contractors recommended for pre-qualification meet the requirements of Chapter 1013.46 F.S., the State Requirements for Educational Facilities and School Board Policy.  The attached list identifies the contractors to be approved this month.  This will be an on-going process. The pre-qualification must be maintained current and the certification is valid for one year at a time.  According to Florida Statutes, only those contractors who have pre-qualified can bid on School Board work.

Funding is not affected.
