Item Title
C-20 Pay Mileage at County Approved Rate for Parents or Group Homes Transporting Certain ESE Students
Issue/Rationale
In certain cases the ESE Department, in conjunction with the Transportation Department, must authorize mileage for parents or group homes to transport students.
Examples of such cases include no available bus, medical issues which cannot be resolved, significant behavior difficulties, or other special issues. We are required to provide transportation, and thus provide mileage reimbursement.
Recommended Action
Approve paying mileage.
Financial Impact
The total cost of transportation is expected to be less than $10,000.00.
