Agenda Item #9 Item Title C-8 New Instructional Performance Appraisal Form Issue/Rationale According to Florida Statute 1012.34 the assessment procedure for instructional personnel must be primarily based on the performance of students assigned to their classrooms or schools, as appropriate. In addition, the Race to the Top for Student Success Act further states that at least fifty percent of a performance evaluation must be based upon data and indicators of student learning growth assessed annually by statewide assessments or, for subjects and grade levels not measured by statewide assessments, by school district assessments. The remaining fifty percent is based on the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices. The new Instructional Performance Appraisal Form has been developed in collaboration with the Clay County Education Association according to the above guidelines through the Clay Assessment System Committee. The new form will be effective for the 2011-2012 school year. Recommended Action Approve the new Instructional Performance Appraisal form. Financial Impact None Submitted By Toni A.
